Sunderland Introduction

Sunderland Association Football Club (Sunderland A.F.C.) is a English association football club from Sunderland, Tyne and Wear; who currently play in the Premier League. Sunderland AFC was formed as Sunderland and District Teachers A.F.C. in 1879 by James Allan, but changed name to Sunderland Association Football Club in 1881. Everton Football Club - Overview

Everton Football Club is an English professional association football club from the city of Liverpool. Scottish Football League - Introduction

Scottish Football League (SFL) is a league of football teams in Scotland. The Scottish Football League was created in the 1890 to afford the increasing number of football clubs in the country. Scottish Football League was highly successful, and in 1893 a Second Division was created by the inclusion of a number of clubs previously in the Scottish Football Alliance. Scottish Football League introduced a Third Division in 1923 and The Western Football League was used as its backbone. Only three years before it collapsed under heavy financial losses from 1926 until 1946, Scottish Football League returned to two divisions.

In 1955 there were 18 clubs in Division A and 19 in Division B. In 1956 the divisions were renamed Division 1 and Division 2. In 1975 the next change of format happened and structure split Scottish Football League into three divisions; Premier, First, and Second Divisions. The Scottish First Division, the second tier of Scottish football, is now the top tier of the Scottish Football League.This three divisional structure included 38 clubs continued until 1994.
